Visa approved in just 9 days under Study Direct Stream(SDS)
Since it was successfully launched last June 15, 2017, Canada’s pilot-initiative, the Study Direct Stream is now fulfilling every Filipino’s dream to study in Canada. SDS is designed to speed up visa processing for full-time students attending universities and colleges in Canada.
Stated in the press statement of Canadian Embassy to the Philippines, the SDS Program is supported by Scotiabank, a leading Canadian financial institution. Scotiabank will provide eligible students with the opportunity to purchase a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC), which will satisfy the financial statement requirements of the SDS program.
“There are many advantages to studying in Canada, including world class institutions, lower costs, and a safe and healthy environment for students”, said Ambassador John Holmes of Canada.
“The improvements to the Embassy’s visa processing system, including those offered by the SDS Program, is just one more reason why Filipino students should make Canada their destination of choice,’’ he added.
The Wise Immigration’s effort in bringing Filipino students to Canada under the Study Direct Stream paves the way for more students applying for this streamlined process of student visa application. One of their successful applicants is Hazel Gabule, a 26-year-old resident of Tungkil, Minglanilla.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Wise Immigration for their assistance in processing my visa. From start to finish, they have showed immense effort and perseverance,” said Gabule with joy.
“I will be forever grateful to the team who helped me in accomplishing my dreams. Surprisingly, I received my visa for 9 days!”
Given that SDS is faster, hassle-free and more precise way for student visa application, Retchel Fernandez, documentation officer of Wise Immigration said that to achieve this goal; the applicant must submit transparent documents and sufficient funds to support their studies.
“SDS is hassle-free, less financial documents needed and it is prioritized by the embassy because of its 30-day priority processing.”
